Don't Starve is a survival game with science and magic. At first you start off with Wilson who is a scientist and was trapped in a wilderness by a demon named Maxwell. As Wilson your special ability is to grow a magnificent beard. As you start the game(SPOILER WARNING) you see Maxwell and he tells you "say pal you don't look so good how about some food" then he just disappears or you can just skip it. At first you can't get logs and some other items. When you get some twigs and some flint you can make some tools such as the pickaxe or axe but the axe is more important since you need to make a camp fire at night and if you are in complete darkness you die.(DOUBLE SPOILER WARNING) You won't die in complete darkness if you are playing as Willow because she starts a fire when she is in complete darkness.
One of the Creatures you should to kill at the start is a rabbit because they don't fight you back and they are easy to find, the only thing that is bad about a rabbit is that is hard to catch and needs a trap which can be made with some grass and twigs which you get from saplings.
Then you cook the rabbits and make cooked morsels by cooking morsels which you get from killing rabbits by dropping the catched ones and killing them or just right clicking it in your inventory.
If you pre purchase the game on steam you get two promotional items in Tf2.
